Platinum produced the Limited Edition Hannya-Singyou Fountain Pen in Red resin with maki-e Hannya-Singyou (The Heart of Perfect wisdom Sutra) written on the body and the cap. The cap is a screw on type differ from the older version. It is fitted with the Platinum's Slip and Seal innovative cap system.

This system would keep the tip of the nib fresh, wet and ready to write. Platinum tested the Slip & Seal system over a period of 1 year with the cap closed. The result is fantastic and the nib is still wet and able to write immediately after 1 year.
