Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this lovely Montegrappa Historia Limited Edition Celluloid Fountain Pen. The presentation box (not the version originally for this pen) is, as always with Montegrappa, a delight - with the polishing cloth being found in a drawer hidden below where the pen is stored. The pen has been regularly used, but is still presented in overall very good condition - there does seem to be some platinum plating loss to the nib, but this is simply mentioned for a complete description. The Historia Charcoal Celluloid was a limited edition of only 1000 pens and this is a lovely low number (0005)!

It was launched in 1999 and combined wonderful sterling silver details with the allure of celluloid. The richness of colour from this legendary pen material has to be seen to be fully appreciated.

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and the feed is crafted from ebonite. It's a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds. The limitation number can be found on a silver disc on the bottom of the pen, with the letter C confirming that this is the charcoal edition (the parchment for instance had a P). The important details are as follows... As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication - "izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens".
