It has an alligator leather strap with a signed platinum tang buckle, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating, including a dual-domed face crystal. 950 PLATINUM 10 BAR, hallmarks and a serial number. The 40.2mm diameter round two-body solid case, gently curved lugs, and angled bezel, are polished. It has anti-magnetic resistance to 4800 A/m (60 gauss), and it includes a silver grained "blizzard" dial with applied faceted white gold baton hour markers surrounded by a black perimeter minute/second scale, white gold dauphine sword hour and minute hands, and a yellow gold center sweep second hand with a wedge counterbalance. It has a gold-framed date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position with the yellow gold applied Grand Seiko lion emblem and gold script with 50TH ANNIVERSARY.

There's a fan-shaped recessed power reserve indicator with a comet-shaped scale with a white gold indicator hand between 7 and 8 o'clock. It has a 72-hour power reserve at full winding , it's water-resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 12.8mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. It's rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment constructed with 30 jewels, an anti-shock system, a rotor with an 18K yellow gold Grand Seiko medallion, and instead of an escapement and balance wheel, Spring Drives Tri-Synchro Regulator performs as a brake controlling the release of energy from the mainspring at the correct rate to ensure the ultimate accuracy. The Seiko "Magic lever" mechanism allows the mainspring to drive a series of gears that in turn drive the rotor that generates a small electrical charge activating the electronic circuit and the oscillator, hence the incredible accuracy. The mechanism oscillates at a high frequency of 36,000 vph (5Hz).
